Axis Systems Licenses Verisity's e Verification Language
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 2001--Verisity
Ltd. (Nasdaq:VRST), the leading provider of functional verification
automation, and Axis Systems, Inc. today announced that Axis has
licensed Verisity's e verification language through the LicenseE(TM)
program. This partnership enables Axis to develop interoperable
solutions using the de facto verification language, e. Axis will use
the language as an input into their ReConfigurable Computing (RCC)
engine, giving Verisity and Axis users a highly integrated
verification environment incorporating functional verification
automation and hardware acceleration.
``The growth in the number of solutions supporting the e language
continues to gain momentum and we're delighted to have Axis join the
LicenseE program,'' said Dave Tokic, director of strategic marketing
for Verisity. ``Having Axis' acceleration solution work with e provides
verification engineers more flexibility when integrating new
technologies into their verification environments.''
With this announcement, Axis will develop support for the e
verification language as an input to their RCC technology for higher
performance. ``We use Specman Elite and Xcite extensively for the
verification of our system,'' said Joe Kagenski, Engineer-HW/ASIC
Development at Lucent Technologies. ``The collaboration between Axis
and Verisity will enable us to fully leverage our investment in tools
and further reduce our verification cycle.''
``We selected the e language based on market demand and our strong
relationship with Verisity,'' said Dan White, marketing director at
Axis Systems, Inc. ``Our goal is to provide a complete high performance
functional verification solution that offers our customers a fully
interoperable verification flow.''
LicenseE Program Membership
As a member in the LicenseE program, Axis Systems will receive
open access to the e language, including a stand-alone e parser, and
will participate in the e Steering Committee. The Steering Committee's
purpose is to drive the future direction of the language to better
serve the verification market. All companies on the Steering Committee
have equal say, including Verisity.
